Cause vs. Symptoms

Correct the cause...

Soil is a dynamic, efficient, resilient ecosystem. It has ability to grow high Brix, nutrient dense food, host a multitude of soil microorganisms, support and stabilize the environment, manage water and runoff, and C02 Sequestration and cycling. Unfortunately, when problems with the soil function arise, soil management historically has been more prone to reacting to symptoms, rather than correcting the cause of the problem.

Reacting to Symptoms...

If you only address the symptoms in your production system, you risk stepping on a long-term treadmill. Symptoms will continue to appear until the problem that causes them are addressed. Reacting to these symptoms is usually short term or limited effect, costly, and at times causes more problems.

At Back to Your Roots, we find ways to solve problems and in turn decrease the symptoms. Below are some of the symptoms of underlying problems that can give a clear picture of what is going wrong in your soil.
