Fx: 306.747.3469
E: backtoyourroots@sasktel.net

Cindy grew up in the Canwood, SK area on a mixed farm. After a 20 year successful nursing career, Cindy went back to her roots, so to speak, and started the company in 2006. She has never looked back. Cindy has taken many courses and workshops on soil health in Canada and the US but much of her experience comes from the many hours she spends in the fields, working with producers to “heal” their soil back to the way nature intended. Cindy is passionate about the Ream’s method of farming and bringing back health to the soil and nutrition back to our food supply.

I farm in the Swan River Valley of Manitoba. For many years I produced grain exclusively, I then diversified into grass seed production. Eventually, a bison operation was also added to the farm.

We are striving to maximize our production in all areas of our farm in the most cost effective way while paying particular attention to the health of our soil.

Gillian Thiessen

E: gillian@yourlink.ca

In the past several years I have become completely and daily occupied with the affairs of the “family small farm”, thriving and struggling and growing kids and crops and livestock on our home quarter neat Saskatoon, SK. I am blessed to be married to Darcy Thiessen, a conventional grain farmer and we have three children at home. My time and focused energy has been spent on learning to grow better quality forage for the family’s flocks and herds (free run chickens, sheep and cattle) with my ultimate goal being to maximize the health and well being of my family. I am interested in balancing the soil that supports our lives with garden products, fruit, crops and forages. In my quest for knowledge, I have found Back to Your Roots Soil Solutions Inc.
