Water soluble testing is vital in determining the plant availabilty of the nutrients in the soil. We encourage producers to start using the water soluble tests not just for a baseline of your soil, but to determine the balances, or in some cases the imbalances of your soil.
Although there are several labs that are now doing the water soluble tests, we recommend Soil Foodweb Canada in Vulcan, Alberta. Dr. Elaine Ingham is the founder of this lab and directly oversees the procedures and testing techniques.
