GSR calcium is mixed with sugar for susupension and handling ease. Tanking mixing other products that contain carbon can cause problems in the sprayer. Always jar test first. We have found that it is not usually sucessful so thought we would warn you. GSR need to be mixed in water for best results. Dry mixes are not recommended by the manufacturer. If you are interested in using the GSR calcium, please conact me directly at backtoyourroots@sasktel.net for information on a sales rep near you.

On use of GSR, why the prohibition against humic acid products and other carbon products and still advise the use of sugar which is a carbon? What happens if I mix this with compost and dry spread the combination? Or is it to be sprayed on only? What about in season use? I farm almonds and would like to use it now.

Later, after the crop is up, it can be applied in a foliar spray.

Thanks for your question.
